Sponging technique

Creatively I was unsatisfied with my cards so far as it was really just copying another card that existed, but they did help me learn the basics of card making. Now I was ready to try adding my painting passion onto my cards! I first started with an easy technique using sponges as i still feel a brush in my hand spoils whatever it touches!!

1st sponging

I used a small sponge which I dabbed onto Stampin up’s Bermuda bay, Daffodil delight and Tangerine tango and just sponged a white card stock, then I stamped Lavinia Stamps’s Meadow Grass on circles I cut using Sizixx round dies. The background paper came from Tchibo’s Motif paper.

As you can see, I have a problem with paper creasing or tearing when I fold my card stock. They are 270 gm/m2 and I don’t really know how to do it without getting that result. Anyone has a suggestion?
