Stencil cards

I bought tons of beautiful stencils at a craft fair in Munich and was looking forward to using them…as stencils, because I actually use them more to dry emboss! I also love the text cause its so true. Being loved and supported gives you the courage to try new things, fail and try again! I know I wouldn’t be able to do this without my husband’s patience at having all my craft supplies all over the living room table or playroom floor, and his encouragement when I don’t like my end product or ruin a project with an unintentional smear at the end of 2h of work!

I sponged the background with Stampin Up’s Tempting Turquoise and used the wet wipes technique I saw on Splitcoaststampers to colour in the leaves and flowers with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo from Stampin’ Up. I stamped the text from Deep Red called “Love Strength Courage” in Versafine’s Imperial Purple.

  1. Lovely card, Gwendolyn. Greetings from Backnang, Germany! I especially like your use of the Stampin’ Up colors and the beautiful sentiment is a perfect finishing touch. Thanks for playing along at ATSM and AAA Cards too.
