I bought a stack of card stock from a craft show and although they looked good, once I had them it was quite difficult to use them. They had a shiny metallic like surface which made it hard to stamp on and the colours were beautiful but hard to use. The cards I have succeeded to make with them had most of it covered with design paper! So I am quite proud to have managed to make this card without too much smudging and not covering it with any paper at all!
I dry embossed it with my Sizzix large embossing folder and stencilled in a heart with Color Box white ink, while masking a circle for the text. I stamped the text with Versamark, sprinkled some Ranger’s gold embossing powder and heat embossed it. I love this range of sentiments that comes from Stamplorations Big Grins “Strong Women” text, you’ll be seeing me use a lot of these sentiments for more Mothers Day cards.
I then masked the rest of the card and sponged in some more white ink to bring out the text. This card is for my mum and it has a surprise in it but I can’t show it… cause its a surprise! But lets just say its “explosive”! 😉
I entered this card in:
