Life is good

I’ve just started on a 21 day meditation journey with Oprah and Deepak’s “Getting Unstuck and creating a limitless life” to help me achieve my potential. Even though its only been 3 days, I have learnt so much. Like in today’s centering thought “I always have access to my inner creativity”, the notion that creativity does not only belong to artists and musicians. As Chopra says “We are all creative as we have free choice to react to any moment in life exactly as we want to.” Its really changed my view towards being creative.

One of  my free choices today was to create this card. Even though it might not be “fashionable” in the card making world today, this is how I feel at the moment. In the recent past, I had chosen to let certain situations stress me out and get me down, but I have now decided to change my outlook, with help from my daily yoga and meditation sessions…and life is good again!

I first masked the card and stamped and heat embossed this beautiful stamp from Technique Tuesday. To create the sunset, I started sponging in mustard seed distress ink in the centre followed by spiced marmalade around and a little of Momento’s Rhubarb stalk to add a reddish tinge. I drew in the bird (to cover a streak actually!) and added a little sparkle with my Sakura jelly roll. The sentiment is also part of this stamp set and I used my Tombow markers to colour in the “good”.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope life is good with you too!
