Sending you Sunshine!

Yes we can finally say that from Germany, in the south anyway! After a rainy start, we now have sunny 30ºC temperatures. Luckily I have the forest in front of our house to shelter me during my daily walks with the dogs. Its so green and cool in there and with the birds singing their heads off, I feel like I’m in a tropical forest!  I can’t load videos here but here’s a link to my instagram account if you want to hear the birds sing! The stars in this photo are my 2 dogs, Paco our Belgian Shepard and Lola our Jack Russell!

So I wanted to make a really sunny, cheerful card!

I used a stencil from “Ideen mit Herz” for the first time since I bought it from a craft fair in Munich 2 years ago! I coloured it in with metal effect paint/cream and added a butterfly from Sizzix, cut with my Big Shot Plus, and heat embossed with DC’s Wow embossing powder. I then re-stamped it with Versamark and re-added the embossing powder but just left it on to create a “furry” effect!

The sentiment from Sweet Dixie’s “Double Sayings” set was stamped and heat embossed on vellum which I had first cut with a die from My Favourite Things. I adhered it to a yellow card stock I embossed with my Sizzix embossing folder and added 2 pink embellishments to hide the double sided tape!

I love how the metal effect paints give texture and shine on the card. I think an “Aloha” stamp would have been perfect on this card, but unfortunately I didn’t have one!

Hope you liked it!
