1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime, so CHECK YOURSELF & Schedule your yearly mammography!
A fellow blogger, Michele Gross, of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps started an amazing campaign called “Calling All Sistahs”, after her discovery of breast cancer. The idea behind it is to remind all women to do their monthly self exams and yearly mammograms.
This month I am participating for the first time in their monthly blog hop, which happens on the 17th of every month, to remind you to check yourself, get to see beautiful artwork AND a chance to win prizes! 3 $15 gift certificates will be given away to 3 people who comment on all the blogs, by 12:00am US eastern on the 19th August, or 6am CET on the 20th August. I’m soooo excited as this is also my first blog hop as a participant!
These stamps and dies were designed by Michele while she was undergoing her cancer treatment, amazing right! AND 50% of all proceeds from the sale of this collection goes to The National Breast Cancer Foundation.
I first stamped the sentiments and heat embossed it before I did the same thing with the ribbon. I then blended Stampin Up and Momento inks over it, spritzed it with water, added brusho powder and let everything blend. I cut the panel with My Favourite Things scallop die from their Blueprints 20 set and stuck it on a yellow card. I added self adhesive magnectic strips behind it and its ready for a friend’s fridge. This one is going to my good friend Alexandra!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Your next stop will be Archana Burke, who by the way is my good friend who taught me how to stamp when I started 6 months ago! And if you’re lost, heres the whole list! Happy hopping!
