Kisses Birthday card

I made this card late one night, when my daughter came to me and asked for a birthday card for her friend, who was having her birthday the next day! And oh by the way, can she have a card with lips on it! So I left my comfy spot on the sofa and made this. When she saw it the next morning, she loved it and asked me if I had done it by kissing the card! LoL!

I would have if I didn’t already have a lips background stamp called Lipstick Kisses from Technique Junkies, which I had never used before, so I was really happy to finally have the occasion to try it. I coloured the stamp with different red and pink inks and stamped it on a white card stock. I sprinkled clear WoW embossing powders on it and heat embossed it to create a nice glossy sparkle to the lips.

You can’t see it sparkle so well in this (blurry pic) but the lips do shine! I cut the panel with the stitched rectangle from the MFT blueprints 20 set and adhered it on the card. I used Stamplorations die to cut out the Birthday sentiment on the card and a piece of thin cardboard, and together inlaid it back again so it would be just a little raised from the card. The Happy comes from Hero Arts Happy die and stamp set.

Hope you liked this simple card and sorry for the bad photographs!

I’m playing along with:

Sparkle and Sprinkle challenge – Always anything goes using glitter, embossing powder or flocking

Blessing Ink – Amusing challenge – Anything Goes
