Shiny Holly

Here in Germany, people are already starting to make hundreds of Christmas cookies so that they will be ready for the start of Advent, which is the first of the four Sundays before Christmas, so 27th November this year. I will try to make cookies this year too, but gluten free ones! So anyone who has tried and tested delicious gluten free cookies recipes, let me know!

In the meantime, I’m still trying to make as many Xmas cards as possible to send them back to Singapore, as I have another friend going over on Wednesday who will be my “postman”!

I really love using my Stamplorations stencils this way, with embossing paste and Wow embossing powder. You don’t get the full benefit of the shine in the photo but it really sparkles in reality! The sentiment from Penny Black was stamped with StazOn jet black ink on vellum and heat embossed. This ink prints well but man is it hard to get it off the stamp and my Misti! In the end, the hand sanitiser proved the best way to take off the ink!

The card panel was cut with MFT Blueprint 20 scallop rectangle die and I used it to give my vellum panel a scalloped edge too.

Hope you like the card!

I’m playing along with:

Sweet Stampin Christmas – Anything Goes

Perfectly Created Chaos – Heat embossing

Stamplorations Never ending Anything goes STAMPlorations-anythinggoes

The Paper Players – Color challenge paper-players

Christmas card challenges – Glitter christmascardchallenge.jpg

Creative Artiste Mixed Media – Anything mixed media goes – I hope using paste is enough to be considered mixed media, for me it is, as I never usually use more than inks and embossing powder! LoL
