This year, our kids’ school was considerate enough to organise their outward bound week and ski week at the same time so I could have a kids free week! No chauffeuring or cooking different meals for different tastes for 5 days, yippee! Well my hubby still needs to eat, but he loves cooking for me after a tiring day at work, so who am I to argue! 😉 I might even be able to get away from being a maid for 5 days, but I’m a little undecided on that point. Then I thought, when I was working full-time at an office, I never asked myself if I should clean the house before I go to work in the morning (or when I came back at night…) so why am I torturing myself with that question now? I just started a business, so I should behave like a full-time business woman…at least for this week.
So I’ll start work at 08h30 everyday… ok, at 09h30 (I never started at 08h30 even back when), make a long list of to dos, which I should actually be able to do as I don’t have bosses or colleagues coming to ask me to do more “urgent” stuff… Bring out 4 new creations for my shop, blog daily, enter challenges daily, leave loving comments on all my favourite bloggers posts and Instagram accounts, meet my tax advisor, make recycled paper, hold at least one craft session, buy more stamps…easy peasy! Or as we say in Singapore, no sweat lah! Oh I have to add 2 German lessons and organise a book reading club for March somewhere in there too…hmmm.
Anyway, I managed to finish 2 shadow box card designs for my Etsy shop. So here’s one of them. Its a gold version of my red heart design I made last week after a dear friend from My Piece of Craft suggested I make a fancier version for weddings and anniversaries.
This was self designed in my Silhouette studio software and cut with my Silhouette portrait machine. The heart die cut comes from Spellbinders Heart & Flutter die set and I stamped everything with Versamark and heat embossed it with Wow gold embossing powder.
The sentiment from Justrite was also stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Wow’s Heart throb embossing powder which is a mixture of gold and red.
I found this wonderful stamp set from Aladine, which I bought around 4 years ago when I first started scrapbooking, and never used, but I think that is going to change now as all the stamps in the set (with no name) are beautiful different mandalas.
Heres the shadow box lit.
So I managed to finish 2 of the 4 designs planned. Blogged today and left some love out in Blog land and Instagram, planned my book club in March and I’m now going to meet my tax advisor. All in all, not a bad start to my working week! Just goes to show how much we can accomplish when we don’t do the cleaning! Lol!
Thanks for stopping by.
