Its that time of the month again! Feel em up and check yourselves for any lumps in your breasts! I never used to do it so regularly until I joined this movement organised by Michele from Casual Friday Stamps. She started this when she herself got breast cancer, to make sure everyone checks themselves each month and maybe save a life with early detection! Now, every month I write this reminder post, I check myself too!
This is the first card I’ve made where I haven’t put a sentiment but I liked all the details on the card so much I didn’t want to hide anything! 😉
I first stamped the four lotus flowers from the Mon Ami stamp set with Versamark, poured silver Wow embossing powder on it and heat embossed them with my heat gun.
I then coloured each flower with my Zig clean color real brushes.I also stamped a butterfly from the “BE” stamp set before sprinkling Brushos over the whole card and spritzing water on it. I used Gambodge and Emerald Green brushos.
I used the Ruffled ribbon die from CAS-usal Fridays Breast cancer awareness collection ( 50% of all profits from this collection goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation) and die cut in the middle of the card. I inlaid it, on top of another die cut of the ribbon, to create a raised effect.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you checked yourself for any lumps or bumps while reading my post!

Really awesome card, I love that set, I just used it today!!! Cutting the ribbon out of the entire background was a great idea, really subtle. Thank you for sharing with us at HLS! Jenny x

I like the effect that the inlaid die-cut gives, and I agree, adding a sentiment would have detracted from the pretty background! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!

Gwendolyn, your card is lovely. Thank you for sharing how you created this masterpiece. The inlaid die cutting and versamark butterfly details add such a nice touch. I can see why you didn’t want to cover it up with a sentiment. The ribbon says it all. Thank you for sharing this reminder with your followers!
