Watercolouring with Distress Oxide inks + Video

Sometimes you want to make a card that doesn’t take 2h but still comes out looking good, and with this card I think I managed to do just that. Apart from the drying time, I think it only took me 15 minutes to make, a personal olympic record in card making for me! And I didn’t resort to using scraps either. 😉 I made a quick video to show how easy it was to make this card and you can find it at the end of my post.

I had just received my new distress oxide inks, which I had waited 3 weeks to receive… so I was really impatient to use them! I just sponged Mustard seed, Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and Peeled Paint inks over the heat embossed magnolia from Clearly Besotted and sprayed a generous amount of water over the whole card. I then blended in the inks with my water brush.

The sentiment comes from So Suzy Stamps called “Gift Of You”. I really love all the sentiments they have, but this one has to be my favourite. Isn’t it beautiful? This card is for my daughter… just because.

Well I do hope you enjoyed the video and gave it a “thumbs up” and subscribed to my channel, if you haven’t done so already! Thanks for coming by and your comments really make my day!
