The Sisterhood of Crafters – Give Thanks

Hi fellow crafters. We have a new challenge starting today over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and our theme for the next fortnight is “Give Thanks”. So come join in and make anything showing Thanks, a Thank you card or something you are thankful for.

I just got these stamps from The Ton and I know they’re going to be a favourite of mine! Today I just did a quick Thanksgiving card by first stamping the Banner and Peony cluster stamps with Versamark clear ink, then heat embossed them with rose gold WoW embossing powder. I water coloured everything with my Zig clean color real brushes, which are filled with vibrant inks that are so easy to blend with water, to create a watercolour look on my cards. Its important to use watercolour paper though so I am using Clairefontaine 250g multi technique paper here.

I stamped the sentiment which comes with the Banners Basics stamp set with Versafine black ink, cut my water coloured panel with Stamplorations Crazy running double stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a grey card base.

  10. Wow, this is such a perfect CAS design!! Absolutely love those flowers and the colours you chose, especially with that metallic heat embossing. Really like too how you did the background with the blue mainly around the flowers, might have to try that idea myself. Always wonderful to see you at The Flower Challenge!
