Creative with Stamps – Reminder Reindeer challenge

Hi all. I’m back today to remind you about our on-going challenge at Creative with Stamps and the theme is Reindeer. For today’s post, I’m still having fun with my new sprays and pastes I purchased from Shimmerz Paints last week, to colour through my different stencils.

I first coloured a piece of 250g multi technique paper from Clairfontaine with my Brusho paint powders and spritzes of water. Once it was dry, I spread the incredibly sleek paste called Dazzlerz “Foiled Again”, through the star stencil from Newton’s Nook and let it dry. I didn’t tape the stencil down well enough so a little paste spread underneath the stencil, sorry! I might actually spray some glue on the underside of my stencils and let it dry overnight, so that they stay put all over…

Once the stars were dry, I just spread some Texturez gold paste through my Stamplorations reindeer stencil and created the bumpy effect by lifting my spatula when I was spreading the paste. The thickness of this paste covered whatever was originally there, meaning the stars and painted background!

To create my scallop border, I diecut a silver card stock with MFT scallop rectangle die and adhered a piece of acetate underneath it. I then stamped my sentiment from Penny Black with Stazon ink onto the acetate… I’m not sure how I got the smaller texts crooked when the main text is straight… I then adhered this acetate panel onto my stencilled panel and pasted the whole thing onto a card base.
