Calling All Sistahs – Don’t Give up Hope!

calling all sistahs

Hi all! Its the 17th of the month and together with my other Sistahs at the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Calling All Sistahs blog, we’re back with the monthly reminder to check yourselves for any lumps and bumps. To know how this all started, read the story of the owner of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, Michele, here, of how she not only beat breast cancer through early detection but is trying to help others too!

I made a Christmas shaker card with the Ruffled Ribbon die which I had heat embossed using the snowflake stamps from the Joy stamp set and Wow embossing powder. Unfortunately my heat gun stopped working after I melted the powders on the last snow flake and I had to change the design of my card, as I had initially planned to do a clear embossing of the snow flakes as a background on the silver card. So instead I decided to make a shaker card and stamp the sentiment from the Word Ribbon stamp set on the vellum with Stanzon ink.

I added glass glitters as my shaker components and they really catch the light. The scallop border was mounted on foam tape on the silver card base, so my glass glitters had space to move around.

Well I hope you’ll remember to check yourselves, even during this busy festive period Please go over to the Calling All Sistahs blog to admire their beautiful reminder cards & leave them some love too! I look forward to reading your comments, as always.

  1. This looks amazing-I have never heard of this glass glitters-I thought it was a kinda of crackled background and was reading it to find out how you got this look! I love it. This was such a great safe but goodness that tiny mistake on the embossing would have been left it was me! However you made it a happy feature! Superb card x

Your comments are like little virtual hugs to me, so thanks for the love!
