For the Guys

After all the flower cards I’ve been making this week, it was good to do the “For the Guys” course in Altenew Academy’s Educator Certification Program today & make some masculine cards. Like many of you, I find it hard to do cards for the men and boys in our lives, but after finishing the 6 classes in the course, I now have tons of ideas to make masculine cards…and I made tons! I’m not sure if its because I’m working the old brain cells by learning new things each day and creating daily, but the ideas just seem to flow now!

Line foil main

Now I don’t haven many masculine stamps, but I took the tip from Jennifer Rzasa to be imaginative, and just used the stem from the Altenew “Tulip” stamp set, to create those colourful sticks! I used the foiling technique I learnt here and used iCraft’s deco foil & transfer gel to give them a really striking look.

This is the foil I used and it is on top of my card,  in the “sandwich”, ready to be put through my laminator. Isn’t that foil gorgeous?! Its called rainbow Arcoiris. I also followed Jennifer’s advice and added more shine by heat embossing the sentiment from Altenew’s “Birthday Bash” stamp set with my WoW metallic gold rich embossing powder. See it in action in the little video below.

So that’s my first masculine card I made from the tips I learnt during the “For the Guys” class today. I made 3 more but you’ll have to come back tomorrow to see them as I don’t want to overload my posts! 😉

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great day!

I’m sharing this card with:
