May Sunshine & Joy fill your life

addicted to stamps

Hi all, I’m back today to share a card I made for our latest challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More where the theme is CAS and I hope you’ll join us with your clean and simple cards. I had so much pleasure making this card as I could combine 2 of my favourite items, flowers and watercolours.

I used the beautiful marigold from Stamplorations called French Marigold, which I first stamped with  Altenew’s Lavender Fields ink and coloured in with my watercolours, using mainly Red Violet and Cinereous Blue from Sennelier, which I treated myself, while working in France last month. The centre of the flower was coloured with my Zig clean color real brush & the stem with one of my favourite watercolours, Winsor and Newton’s Quinocridone Gold. This colour starts of as a beautiful goldish brown and becomes yellow when diluted with more water!

I stamped the sentiment from Penny Black with Versafine Vintage Sepia and flicked some yellow paint onto the card. To finish, I went over the whole flower with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen to make it it shine and then matted this panel onto a gold card base.

Well I hope my card has inspired you to join us in our Clean and Simple challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More. You have till Tuesday 23rd October to enter your cards. I do hope you’ll pop over and see the beautiful cards my team mates have made just to inspire you and leave them some love too!

Here’s wishing you a day filled with Sunshine and Joy!

Hugs, 0aablog-signature2-1
