The Sisterhood of Crafters – Winter scene

Hi all, I’m back again for my last card, as a design team member for The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge blog, as I step down from this fabulous “sisterhood” of amazing crafters. Even though I really enjoyed being on the team, I would like to concentrate more on my paintings in 2019, and sadly have to cut back on my design team responsibilities. I would really like to thank Darlene and the whole team for being so kind as to let me be part of the team for the last 18 months. So my last card is dedicated to those wonderful women on the team!

It is also their last challenge for the year and the theme is “Create a Winter Scene”. I decided to bring out a rarely used die from “Creative Expressions” called Christmas Scene background. It consists of 5 different dies but I only used 2 of them to make my shaker card. I first die cut the border silhouette die and middle circle die on watercolour paper and gave them a coat of paint using Prima Marketing’s grey metallic watercolour. I added a clear acetate panel under this border and stamped the German sentiment on it, which just means “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year”.  This was then adhered on top my pink water-coloured background with foam adhesive to raise it, enabling me to add the fake snow.

Well I hope you liked my card and is inspired to create a winter scene for our challenge. I look forward to visiting your projects in the link up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge blog. Have a great day!
