Hi all! Its time for another “Clean and Simple” card challenge over on the “Addicted to Stamps and More” blog so we would love to see your CAS cards in the link up. Just a reminder, the definition of Clean and Simple is – clean and crisp lines, minimal or no embellishments and lots of ‘white’ space should be used.
(* White space does not need to be ‘white’. It can be any colour. White space is a term used for the area of your card with no stamping, embellishments etc.)
I personally have a problem with making clean and simple cards. Even though my cards are mostly one layer and rarely have any embellishments on them, every time I make a card with just one image on it, I feel I have to add something else. For example, I think my gull from Create a Smile “Gull Gang” set would have been fine without the clouds behind him in the end.
I water-coloured this card with my Daniel Smith watercolours on Clairefontaine Paint On 250gsm multi media paper. They come in an A5 block so all I have to do is remove one, fold it in half to get a card base ready to be water-coloured. This card was made for my hubby’s colleague who broke his two arms! I thought the gull with his wings folded looked armless…I hope he finds it funny…
Well I look forward to seeing your clean and simple cards in the link up here. Do pop over to the Addicted to Stamps and More challenge blog to see what my my team mates have made to inspire you and leave them some love too!
Have a great creative day and Thanks for all your kind comments!
P.S By the way the title “CAS – Gull” when pronounced in French “casse geule” means breakable, risky…get the pun?🤣
