Craft Stamper Feb Guest Designer

Hi all. I’m so honoured to share a card with you that I made as a guest designer over at Craft Stamper’s Take It Make It challenge blog, as a prize for winning December’s challenge. My winning card will also get a feature in their Craft Stamper magazine! I’m so excited as this is my first feature in a magazine.

As I’m a little fed up of the snow and cold here in Germany I decided to make a warm tropical card with stamps from various companies with no line water-colouring. The flowers & monstera leaves come from Create A Smile’s “Aloha Spirit” which I stamped with distress inks. I really love their stamps and I’m so glad that there is a German company here that makes such great stamps.  (I don’t work for them or anything, but I just have to tell you that international shipping from Germany costs less than in the US, around 3,70€, so if you like their stamps, don’t hesitate!) OK enough of the free publicity! The flamingo and ferns come from Flora and Fauna Tropical Vibes set.

So after stamping and masking and stamping and masking, I proceeded to watercolour my flowers using my Daniel Smith watercolours from my floral range of colours which I had put together in a palette after trying many different colours. I painted on 200gsm watercolour paper using my Raphael 8408 extra sharp pointed brush so I get easily get into all the little areas of the stamps. To finish I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Birthday Messages set with Versfaine black ink and my Misti and added some water droplets using Goosebumps clear texture spray, but instead of spraying, I just drop them onto the card.

Well, thanks for dropping by and I hope you liked my card and that it warmed you just a little too!

Hugs, 0aablog-signature
