3D Birthday Cupcake card

addicted to stampsHi all! Its Wednesday so another challenge starts over at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week’s theme is “Clean and Simple” or CAS for short. What does CAS mean? Well for starters it shouldn’t be too complicated to make and it should have lots of empty space on the card.Gemini Happy Birthday productsFor today’s card, I decided to pull out my Colour pencils from Spectrum Noir called Colourblend and do some stress-free colouring. I know all colouring is supposed to be stress-free but when I use my watercolours, I always have this apprehension that the watercolours will run off and do what they want (I’m getting better though 😅) so the ultimate stress-free relaxing colouring activity for me is with colour pencils.Gemini Happy BirthdayI coloured this cute little cupcake from the Happy Birthday die set from the Gemini brand of Crafter’s Companion. It comes with the cupcake stamp and die, the round sentiment die and the 2 stitched circles and I used them all on my card today! The sentiment diecut was first randomly coloured with my red and pink watercolour markers called Aqua and diecut once it was dry.

Gemini Happy Birthday cuI layered the 2 circle diecuts and the cupcake on foam tape so the cupcake really stands out. To give more interest I only adhered the bottom of the circle sentiment and not the letters so they are a little raised too. To finish, I drew 2 lines at the bottom of the card as I’m always afraid to leave the card too empty!

Well, I hope I inspired you to create a Clean and Simple card for our challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More and that I’ll see your wonderful creation/s in the challenge gallery. Till then, have a great day doing at least one thing you love!

  1. Parfaitement parfait ! Simple et si efficace. Ton petit gâteau est sublime en bleu (quoique c’est une couleur dans l’alimentation qui ne m’attire pas même si c’est ma couleur préférée) et le combo bleu/rouge flash ! Superbe comme toujours. Bises
