Hang In there

sympathy.jpgHi all! its the 15th of the month which means a new challenge starts over at Hero Arts challenge blog “A Blog named Hero”! This month our theme is “Sympathy”. Unfortunately, we all need afew sympathy cards from time to time and today I made one for a fellow card design teammate who lost a lot recently and my heart really goes out to her.Color layering fushia productsFor my card, I used Hero Arts Color Layering Fushia stamps, which I stamped with Hero Arts white ink on black card stock. This created a light white base for me to colour over with my white Spectrum Noir colour pencil.Color layering fushia cuThe sentiment comes from Hero Arts “Hang in There Potted Plants” set, which was stamped with Hero Arts Clear embossing watermark ink before heat embossing it with White embossing powder. I added a few Nuvo Crystal drops falling from the petals of the flowers to symbolise tears, and to finish, splattered some white iridescent shimmer spray from Hero Arts onto my card.

Well I hope you liked my simple sympathy card and that you’ll hop over to “A Blog Named Hero” and visit the gorgeous cards of my fellow team mates, all there to inspire you to join in our latest challenge. To make it simple I added their blog links below. You have till the 10th to enter your cards and be in the running to win either a $25 or $50 gift voucher to the Hero Arts store!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty weekend!

  2. Very beautiful and peaceful card that is perfect for a sympathy card, Gwendolyn. I love how you’ve coloured the white flowers to have the subtle shading giving an ombre effect. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
