May your dreams bloom and grow

addicted to stamps n moreHi all! Its Wednesday, which means another challenge begins at Addicted to Stamps and More. This week, the challenge theme is “Make Your Mark”, and as a colourist, this is my favourite them of course.Spectrum Noir colourblend pencils.pngToday’s card is coloured with colour pencils from Spectrum Noir called Colour Blend, following a free tutorial from Kit and Clowder. The digi stamp from Power Poppy was a free gift as part of the free colouring lesson. How awesome is that! It took me ages to finish as I had so many things going on at the same time, but that’s the great thing about colour pencils, you can just come back and continue colouring where you left off. And even if it’s just 5 or 10 minutes, you just pick up the colour pencil and fill in a petal or two.Spectrum Noir colourblendThe sentiment was stamped on vellum and heat embossed, so it didn’t hide any of the beautiful flowers. I adhered my flower panel onto a pale yellow card base to set off the colours on the flowers.

Well I hope you liked my card and that it will inspire you to play along with our challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More. I look forward to seeing your creations in the link-up there.

Thanks for dropping by and have a great week!

  1. Wow, Gwendolyn – your colouring is awesome! I love the wonderful detail on the petals and all the highlights really make them look 3d. I’m going to have to take a look at that class! Such a gorgeous card.
